Scotland 2017 Itinery

In Scotland, there is no such thing as bad weather -only the wrong clothes
— Billy Connelly

Well, I think we have the Scotland Itinery planned and ready to go.  There is room for adjustment as we make new discoveries but we have lodging set for each night so that's the only constraint.

We start in Glasgow to get a feel for the largest city and immerse in the culture.  A key part of that will be that we are staying in the "National Piping Center" above all the folks with Bagpipes. This may make for an interesting first night in Scotland.

Next we shift to Edinburgh to take in the Castle, Cathedral, Parliament and the alleys of old town. These two cities will be our Urban experience and then its on to the Highlands.

The first stop in the Highlands will be Stirling to see yet more castles, the haunted walk, Culross and Trossachs National Park. This could be the time we paint our faces and go "Braveheart" as well.

After this we're off to the Caringorms and an amazing national park with classic Scottish landscapes as well as the "Whisky Tour" :).  Please excuse any blurry photos on this segment of the trip.

Next on to Inverness and the infamous "Nessie".  If we get a pic we'll share with you first before the rest of the world.

The last stop in the Highlands will be Aberdeen and we might drop into Balmoral Castle to say hi to her Ladyship if she's in then back to Edinburgh.

I'll do my best to post every evening we are there with some pics to let you know we're still kicking and didn't stop the tour at the Whisky Trail..........   .... ... . ..
